A Season of Acceleration and Fruitfulness

I have been hearing two words in prayer: acceleration and fruitfulness.
Divine acceleration is not simply things moving faster. It is the supernatural grace of God bringing His plans, purposes, and will to pass at a rate beyond what human effort could produce.
“Behold, I, YAHWEH, make this decree: The days of acceleration are coming, when the harvest will be so great that those plowing the field will overtake those still reaping the harvest, and the ones treading the grapes will overtake those who are planting. Blessings will stream forth like new wine pouring from every mountain, and every hill will flow with favor.”— Amos 9:13
This is a picture of overflow, movement, harvest, and grace.
It is not frantic activity. It is not striving. It is not pressure dressed up in spiritual language.
Divine acceleration is the grace to move with God.
What Divine Acceleration May Look Like
In a season of acceleration, we may begin to see doors opening, old delays breaking, and sudden clarity coming to places that once felt confusing or stuck.
We may find ourselves understanding what God has been forming in us for years. Callings we thought had passed us by may begin to stir again. Healing may come with surprising grace. Momentum may be restored.
What once felt difficult may begin to carry a new measure of ease because grace is present.
Acceleration Without Abiding Becomes Striving
Jesus said:
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”— John 15:4
Fruitfulness is not forced. A tree does not strain to produce fruit. It grows from rootedness.
In the same way, divine acceleration flows from abiding. Rest precedes acceleration, and rest must accompany it.
This is not about becoming busier. It is about becoming more aligned. It is like being is a boat on a fast-moving river. We do not create the current. We yield to it. We learn to move with the flow of the Spirit rather than trying to manufacture momentum on our own. We remember Jesus is in the boat with us.
Make Room for the New
There are times when entering a new season requires us to release the old one.
“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing.”— Isaiah 43:18–19
Sometimes we cannot fully receive the grace of the new season because we are still grieving, measuring, or judging ourselves by a former one. We may be carrying regret over missed opportunities, disappointment over delays, or the quiet ache of feeling hidden, overlooked, or too late. But God is a Redeemer of time.
“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten.”— Joel 2:25
God is not asking us to reproduce a former season. He is inviting us to receive the grace for this one.
Align With God’s Timing
Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us:
“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.”
Not every good thing belongs to now. When God gives vision, we also need His timing.
Part of wisdom is asking, “Lord, what belongs to this season?” and “What are You giving grace for now?”
Let God Define Fruitfulness
The fruit of this season may not look exactly like the fruit of a former one. It may be quieter, deeper, more hidden, or more relational. It may look like healing, clarity, restored joy, new courage, or renewed obedience.
Fruitfulness is not always measured by visibility. Sometimes the deepest fruit is formed in hidden places before it is ever seen publicly.
This season of acceleration is not about becoming busier. It is about becoming more aligned, more available, more yielded, and more alive in God.
The fruit may look different than it once did, but it will be deeper, sweeter, and more enduring than ever before.
God is not asking us to strive. He is inviting us to abide.
Encounter Prayer
I invite you to take a few quiet moments with the Lord. Before you move on with your day, pause and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart about the season you are in.
You may want to listen to the guided prayer below, then sit quietly with the reflection questions listed below.
This is not about striving to hear perfectly. It is simply an invitation to abide, listen, and receive the grace God is giving for this season.

What does acceleration look like for me right now?
What grace is God giving me for this season?
What from the old season is He asking me to lay down?
What is beginning to move that I thought was dead or delayed?
What is one step of obedience He is inviting me to take?
